Who could have imagined when we brought our first trailer of our own sweet corn to the corner of Clayburn Road and Highway 11 more than 25 years ago, that we’d soon being growing a wide variety of products both here at our Abbotsford farm and own an orchard in Osoyoos? Here’s what’s in season right now, fresh from our very own fields!

Lepp’s Non-GMO Sweet Corn

Where it all started more than 25 years ago. Our tender, sweet corn is always non-GMO, picked fresh by hand every day and perfect to put in the freezer for a taste of summer all year long. Once you get tired of eating plain corn on the cob, it’s time to bake a corn and zucchini pie as a tasty side dish.

Lepp’s Green and Yellow Beans

Hand-harvested fresh from our fields, green beans are easy to incorporate into a wide variety of dishes like salads, pastas, stir-fries, but hands-down, our family’s favorite way to enjoy our farm’s beans is Spicy Yaletown Beans.

Lepp’s Strawberries

Almost too-big-to-be-true, our bright red, everbearing strawberries are juicy and so sweet! Toss in a salad, blend in a smoothie or be brave and try your hand at making jam!  No matter how you eat them, you’ll savor every delicious bite.  Strawberry Shortcake Loaf will quickly become a favorite way to showcase the sweet flavours of our Fraser Valley crop!

Lepp’s Orchard Peaches

Sun-kissed by the Osoyoos sun, let the juicy goodness of our ripe peaches drip down your chin!  Currently picking our sem-freestone Red Haven peaches, the flavour just keeps getting better as the season progresses.  Next up are the free-stone peaches, which means it’s time to bring out the canning jars!  If you prefer baking with them to preserving, I’ve lost count how many times I’ve baked up this delicious Platz (coffee-cake), which is equally as delicious with any of the summer fruits available right now.

Lepp’s Pickling Cucumbers

It’s so fun to watch a whole new generation explore the benefits of canning, but if all that boiling water scares you, use our Lepp Farms crunchy cucumbers to make this no-water-bath-needed Bread and Butter Pickles.  You’ll be the star of the next potluck or BBQ if you bring these to the table!
