Lead our grocery and cash team to continue providing the “best place to work, best place to shop”, while continuing to source unique, local and special grocery items for our guests to enjoy.

A successful Grocery Manager is an organized people-person who is fanatical about food. A respected leader for both the grocery and cashier team, the Grocery Manager is highly competent at leading a team in a way that aligns with Lepp’s core values, enjoying the diversity of work from ensuring a great guest experience from both the front end team as well as within every inch of the grocery department displays.

Performance Expectations

Our cashiers seek to create a great experience for all of our guests. Between ringing through products, greeting guests as they enter the market, and a variety of daily duties, there’s never a dull moment. Our grocery clerks work tirelessly to ensure that our grocery shelves and deli coolers are well-stocked and rotated, while taking care and pride in displays. As the manager for the department, the expectation is to operate as a player-coach for the team: working side by side, seeking to develop the team and run a high quality & profitable grocery department.

Leading a skilled team requires a willingness to learn, a competency to problem solve and serve that team, and business acumen for the day to day operations. The Grocery Manager is responsible for securing the best products for our guests, ensuring a financially responsible and profitable department, while training and developing the team.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience is required, preferably in retail or grocery settings.
  • Proven leadership skill, with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in inventory management.
  • Food Safe Level One required within 3 months of hire.

Work Perks

All employees at Lepp Farm Market receive a 25% staff discount, free soup and coffee/tea while on shift, as well as access to the Lepp Cares Program (including support for gym membership fees). Full time employees are eligible for health and dental benefits, life insurance and long-term disability, as well as the Lepp’s Travel Rewards Program.
