Ingredients

Scale

5 ripe bananas

5 cups water

1 cup sugar (if you’re using very overripe bananas, you can eliminate the sugar as they give enough sweetness)

1 –1 litre pineapple juice

1 tin frozen orange juice concentrate

1 tin frozen lemonade concentrate

1 – 2 litre gingerale

Instructions

In a blender, combine bananas, sugar and 1 cup water and blend until smooth.

Pour into a large container.  Add 4 cups water, pineapple juice, orange juice concentrate and lemonade concentrate and mix until well combined.

Freeze until solid.  This takes at least 2 days, so you need to plan ahead.  Take out of the freezer 3-4 hours prior to serving, and when ready to serve, break up with a potato masher until it’s still very chunky, and just starting to get slushy.  Pour into a large punchbowl and add gingerale.  Mix and serve.
