A successful market butcher is a master of their craft, passionate about all things meat while possessing a high level of integrity that shows in their work. As part of the production team, your skillset will support the daily fresh retail case and our wholesale business. 

Performance Expectations

Nose to tail butchery is one of the many things we do here at the market that sets us apart, adds value to our guests’ experience and allows us the flexibility to deliver anything our guests need. From receiving whole carcasses to displaying cuts of meat in our full-service case, our market butchers do it all while working safely within Food Safe, HACCP & current Covid-19 guidelines. Delivering a great guest experience isn’t just for our deli sales team, our butchers interact with our guests often, answering questions, fulfilling custom cuts and problem-solving. After a full day of heavy lifting, precision cutting and more, our butchers leave a clean and sanitized workspace with the satisfaction of knowing they’ve put out quality products for their community, including restaurants like BRGR BRGR, Fieldhouse Brewing & Trading Post.

Development Opportunities

  • Connection with the farm to table journey.
  • Break down entire carcasses: pork, beef, lamb, chicken & turkey.
  • Have an opinion! Contribute to fresh product development ideas.
Relevant meat-cutting or culinary experience is great, but not required. We’ll train someone with a great attitude, willing to learn. 
Food Safe Level One is required within 3 months of hire. 

First Aid Level A (CPR/AED)
