Breakfast

Stephanie’s Turkish Eggs

Soft poached eggs, nestled in rich garlicky yogurt, topped with a browned butter, infused with chili flakes and fresh herbs, with a slice of toasted crusty bread for dipping – OH MY! Creamy, savoury, a little bit of kick, full of bold flavours, yet so simple.

Farmer Sausage Quiche

An incredibly easy and delicious recipe that you can even whip up the night before!

Bacon, Potato, and Egg Casserole

Bacon Potato, and Egg Casserole – this easy breakfast casserole is packed with bacon, potatoes, and cheese! It can be prepared ahead of time and is a real crowd pleaser!

Breakfast Egg Muffins

These make-ahead bacon and cheddar egg muffins are a low-carb, protein-loaded treat that you can eat on the go.

Lunch

Ranch Pasta Salad

This super simple pasta salad was a staple in our home when our children were young, but I stopped making it when I stopped purchasing commercially prepared salad dressings.  Now that we have Lepp’s homemade Ranch Dressing in our produce case, it’s back in rotation, and still one of our family’s favorite.

Lunch Ideas

Lunch is one of the most flexible meals of the day and sometimes a simple lunch is all you need. Try making a Cobb salad, sandwich with veggies & dip on the side, or have leftovers!

Dinner

Weeknight Meatballs

Don’t let the photo fool you, these meatballs can be used for a lot more than just spaghetti & meatballs (although, that’s a very good option!). You can also use this recipe as a starting point for Asian inspired Sweet & Sour Meatballs – but in that case, you can hold the parmesan cheese and supplement the milk with coconut milk.

Farmer Sausage & Spinach Gnocchi (One-pan dinner!)

This one-pan dinner is perfect to cook up on a busy weeknight – and it’s incredibly delicious too.

Char’s Summertime Joes

For hard working days, it’s Summertime Joes for lunch. You may eat it and wonder what all the hype is about, but for our family, it’s a special food memory I want to share with you all.

Best Ever Meatloaf

This recipe from MEI’s Ladies Auxiliary 1983 Cookery Carousel is still my favorite meatloaf recipe, basic but so flavourful.  The key to a great texture that’s not tough and dry is the added carrot and cheese, and taking care not to overmix it.

Mexican Turkey Chili

Made with ground turkey, this chili is light and flavourful. Turn it into a perfect family dinner by serving it over a short pasta. You can also substitute the turkey with ground beef!

Sheet Pan Chicken Tikka

Farmer Rob declared FOUR times during the meal that it was absolutely delicious. I’ve since made it again for our family, and they unanimously also declared it a winner. Even with leaving the seeds in the the jalapeno it’s not overly spicy as the yogurt tames the heat. Don’t skip on the cumin seeds for the veggies, they add the extra Indian flavour you’re looking for.

Baked Ziti

This recipe is incredibly simple and makes more than enough for leftovers.

Easy, Creamy Beef and Shells

A one-pot dinner makes weeknights a breeze, but a one-pot dinner that makes creamy, cheesy, beefy pasta? Well that’s just pure joy. If you grew up loving Hamburger Helper, you’re going to love this quick from-scratch version of cheesy beef and shells.

Shepherd’s Pie

One enormous square of this casserole, with its blanket of mashed potatoes and that savory meat-and-vegetable filling, is the perfect weeknight dinner. One casserole makes more than enough, so you’ll be sure to have leftovers.

Easy Chicken Spaghetti

Chicken spaghetti is a unique casserole that is the epitome of comfort food: tender noodles and shredded chicken blanketed in a creamy, cheesy sauce.

Creamy Chicken Orzo

Just carrots, celery, onions and garlic flavor in this soothingly simple, risotto-like creamy chicken orzo recipe. Grab some crusty bread and call dinner done.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole

This Easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole is perfect for a quick and simple dinner.
