Last weekend was our 7th Annual Peach Pie Compeition! 17 Bakers attended the event, each one equipped with their own unique version of peach pie and ready to impress a panel of local judges. Among those judges was Waltraud Neufeld, owner of Yes Chef in Downtown Abbotsford, Ross Siemens, owner of Hub Motor Service and currently running for mayor, and our very own Charlotte Lepp, owner and chief recipe taster of Lepp Farm Market.

Here’s a look at how these bakers chose to showcase our Lepp grown peaches, starting with our Winner: Burnt Caramel Peach Pie!

 

First Place: Burnt Caramel Peach Pie by Katie

Peaches stewed and sweetened with dark, burnt caramel. Lightly spiced with ginger + cinnamon and encased in a butter crust.

 

2nd Place: Peach Pie by Susan

This pie didn’t have a description, but it was definitely delicious enough to snag second place!

 

3rd Place: Gam Gam Strikes Again by Teresa

Enjoy our 4th generation family pie crust recipe with a twist. Peach & Blackberry blend gives your tastebuds sweetness from the peaches & a burst of tartness from the blackberries.
